HQ Infantry Tanks Support

British 8th army infantry:

In 1943 British infantry battalion included a HQ company, 4 Rifle companies, 1 support company (AT-, mortar- and carrier-platoons) + divisional assets such as artillery battery and MG platoon.

British infantry companies were organized pretty much the same way from the beginning of the war to the end. Equipment changes were made when new material became awailable.

Normal compositon of infantry company was: 1 Platoon HQ and 3 Rifle Platoons + Bren carriers & support vehicles like jeeps and trucks for transportation.
